      The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) is an EU agency. The EIGE is established to contribute to and to promote gender equality within the EU. Mainstraiming EU gender policies and national policies, is one of their main goals. EIGE is an autonomous agency of the EU that aims to fight discrimination based on sex as well as to raise awareness of gender equality amongst EU citizens.
