Candidate Countries Eurobarometer , CCEB

1. General description

    The Candidate Countries Eurobarometer (CCEB) is part of the general Eurobarometer, a European cross-national, longitudinal survey research program, which focuses on attitudes, values and beliefs regarding the socio-cultural and socio-political domain. The surveys are regularly performed on behalf of the European Commission (EC). The CCEB replaces the Central and Eastern Eurobarometer (CEEB), which was carried out between 1990 and 1998.

3. Participating countries

  • 13 EU candidate countries: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey
  • Although Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia entered the EU in 2004, these countries still participated in the Candidate Countries Eurobarometer of 2004
